Day 1. Base of the Towers.
We will pick you up from your hotel at 7:30 am with our private vehicle to start your trip to Torres del Paine National Park (150 km/94 miles, around 2 hours drive). We’ll be driving in direction Northwest on a beautiful route, across the typical Magellanic Estancias (ranches) of endless land and abundant sheep, within the immensity of the Patagonian pampas, molded by ancient glaciers. As you approach the Park, the road will gradually introduce you to mountainous landscape.
Once there, you will do the check in at the camping Torres, where you can leave your stuff to start the hike to the view point for the Torres del Paine by a trail up the Ascencio River valley. Along the hike through dense beech forests (Nothofagus pumilio), you will stop to admire several waterfalls and hanging glaciers. After around three hours you will start to ascend a steep moraine towards the highest viewpoint for the Towers at 900 m.a.s.l. (2,950ft).
There, you will be rewarded with a close-up view of the massive granite towers (2.850 mt/9.350 feet) and the milky green lake at their base. You can have lunch and relax in one of the most unforgettable settings in the world. Then you will return along the same path to the camping Las Torres to have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2. Valley “del Francés”
After enjoying breakfast, the driver will pick you up at 09:30 to drive for one hour towards west, admiring mountains change and mountains appear as you move on the winding Park’s main road. You arrive at the pier at Pudeto to take a ferry (catamaran 11:00 am) across the amazingly turquoise Lake Pehoé. The ferry will take you (40 min) to the north shore of the lake, by Lodge Paine Grande where you will later spend the night. After dropping off the luggage at the camp you will hike for 2 hours across easy rolling trail to the mouth of the Valle del Francés (Frenchman’s Valley).
Along the way you will enjoy wide views of the Cuernos (horn-like granite peaks), passing by deep blue Lake Skottsberg and surrounding the south face of the enormous Mount Paine Grande (3.050 mt/10,000 feet), the highest in the Park. You will arrive at Camp Italiano, from where you will start one-hour ascent up the valley above Glaciar Del Francés. On the way up the moraine, the lenga and coigüe (Nothofagus pumilio and N. betuloides) forest around you is shaped by the wind to resemble a Japanese garden.
Once at the lookout the views are amazing with a range of 360 degrees: panoramic views of the lakes below, surrounding granite peaks, and the hanging glaciers of Paine Grande in front of you. There you will enjoy our lunch watching avalanches cascade and condors soar. Your return will be by the same trail to Lodge Paine Grande, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 3. Glacier Grey.
Early morning after breakfast you will hiking north toward Glacier Grey, taking a beautiful trail along the western face of Mount Paine Grande. After an hour you will start to see the countless snowy peaks of the Andes which hold the Southern Patagonian Ice Field and the many glaciers that flow down from it. Then the trail will lead you to open terrain that overlooks Lake Grey, allowing us views of its greenish grey waters in contrast with deep blue, floating icebergs. In another hour we will arrive at “the half-way viewpoint”, which offers a breathtaking panorama of the glacier and the snow-capped mountains around you (good point to returne in case you are exhausted).
Then you will continue going in and out of the forest, until reaching your last stop in front of the eastern arm of the glacier, where you can have lunch and if you are lucky observe blocks of ice calving off the front face of the glacier. You will return along the same path to the Lodge to pick your luggage and take the ferry at 18:30 hours (6:30 pm) to return to the other side of Lake Pehoé. There you will meet the private transport to return to Puerto Natales (2 hrs. gravel road) by a different route, wich will continue to amaze you with the spectacular last views point of the Park.
